The Spey valley with it's lochs and the River Spey is a renowned area for Salmon, Trout & Pike fishing. In Loch Alvie the fishing is by way of bank and boat for brown trout and pike. The season is from the 15th of March till the 6th of October. The Cairngorm and Monadhliath Mountains surrond Loch Alvie which is situated 2 miles south of Aviemore.
